What is the relationship between an isosceles triangle and external links?

By Josepha Edman | September 28, 2021 | MARKETING BLOG | 0 comments

What’s the connection between an equilateral triangle and external links?

We all know how to draw a triangle. It doesn’t really have to be equilateral, but that would be a good idea. Why? You’ll read about it in a minute. This post focuses on free external links.

Yes, there’s a way to generate free, organic promotion. Now, bring a pencil and paper (I believe in the traditional way of writing …). On one side of the page, draw a pair of table tennis rackets, and on the other side draw a triangle.

Now, put together a list of your business partners. Once you’ve written them down, check out their websites; Look at their traffic volume and what’s their Google score (available on Ubersugget). See if their sites are ranked 10 or higher (out of 100). The higher the rank, the better the exposure. After deciding if it is worth working with them, contact them and work together, according to the rules of the triangle. This way you’ll be able to boost your websites’ exposure, which in turn will generate traffic and leads, and that, of course, means sales.

What is the difference between a very successful website and a less-successful one?

External links are one of the three most important elements for opening business doors. When we share an external link, or when a colleague shares a link to our website, we generate traffic that is identified by Google. Google likes quality traffic (check out my previous articles).

Some people invest a substantial budget in buying links in the websites of THE NEW YORK POST, FORBES MAGAZINE, or any other major website since this will lead to very high exposure. That’s why an investment of a few thousand USD per month will probably pay off. But what can you do if you don’t have a massive budget, and still want to increase the website’s exposure and generate quality traffic that will promote you and lead to additional revenue?

Remember the table tennis rackets and the triangle?

Table tennis is a two-person game. Usually, one bats and the other returns the ball.

A lot of power and energy are invested in the game. In Google’s perspective, a two-players game is less effective. Google quickly understands that creating an external link between two business owners is a “rigged game”, which is why the promotion will be less effective if any.

On the other hand, if you create a link (or a relationship) with two other business owners, whose business relates to your power circle, you’ll be able to generate 3-way traffic. You’ve got the list you prepared earlier.

For example: My business is website design. The business partners in my power circle are: Content writers, graphic designers, photographers, animators, etc…. So how does it work?

I’ll include the link to the website of a graphic designer I trust, after checking the data of his website. The graphic designer will include the link to the photographer’s website, and the photographer will include the link to my website. That’s how we created a traffic-generating triangle, leading to natural and organic traffic and exposure. The external links were shared in the most natural way. Google favors natural sharing. This is the way to create a large-scale and effective marketing network – free of charge.

Why is the list you prepared important?

So you can create multiple business triangles.

So – Choose your business partners.

Check the score their website received from Google.

Share external links only with the ones which are the best fit for you.

Draw a triangle, and another, and another – as many as possible.

Use all the tools you received from me so far, they are all available on my social media networks.

And if you still choose to play table tennis – call me as a backup player.

Since two are great, but three are much better.
